How to Spontaneously and Habitually Burst Forth in Praises to God (Ephesians 1:13-14)

Michael O'Brien, March 3, 2013
Part of the Ephesians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Doxologies of the New Testament:
Romans 11:36; Romans 16:25-27; Galatians 1:5; Ephesians 3:20-21; Philippians 4:20; I Timothy 1:17; II Timothy 4:18; Hebrews 3:21b; I Peter 4:11; I Peter 5:11; II Peter 3:18; Jude 25; Revelation 1:5b-6; Revelation 4:11; Revelation 5:13; Revelation 7:12

Four Keys to Cultivating a Heart of Spontaneous Praises
1. We must have a proper God-view (one's worldview and self-view will take care of itself if this is in order).
2. Have a focus on God, not on your circumstances/self.
3. Have a focus on the specific works of God (in creation and in your own life)
4. Have an intentional determination to praise God.

Ephesians 1:13–14 (Listen)

13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
